Analytics comes from two services. First, Cloudflare Web Analytics — aggregate pages, referrers, device classes; no identification, no sales; it sets no cookies. Second, Google Analytics 4. Google LLC provides it, except for listeners in the EEA or UK, where Google Ireland Ltd. does. It shows the crew the pages people open, where they arrived from, a rough city-or-country location, which devices and browsers people listen on, and how long a visit lasts. GA4 keeps no record of IP addresses. We've left advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation turned off; the numbers never go toward ads and are never sold.

GA4 does set two cookies of its own, _ga and _ga_<ID>; each can stick around for up to 2 years — and only after analytics has been allowed; say no later and they get cleared. Calling in from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland? We judge that by the time zone your device reports, and in that case you'll be asked first; the crew sends Google nothing until you pick Accept. Anywhere else, analytics is on from the start, with an off switch you're free to flip whenever you want. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we hear that as a no, unless you accept yourself. Whatever you pick, your browser remembers it in local storage — no cookie involved in that part.

Want a different answer? Change your analytics choice here. Google explains its end in its privacy policy, and its browser add-on opts you out of Google Analytics on every site you visit, not only ours.
